Amrita's Thoughts:
The Twelve Apostles is one of the Great Ocean Road’s highlights. The Southern Ocean landscape viewed from Victoria's dramatic coastline is both breath-taking and immaculate. The limestone rock formations stand majestically, sculpted by the forces of time and nature. They transform colour from a luminous yellow under a full sunny day, to a pastel pink as the sun descends. The FE 16-35mm F2.8 G Master wide-angle zoom lens was an ideal accompaniment in capturing the grandeur of the Twelve Apostles. With its wide focal range, I had the equipment to deliver the magnificence of the rock formations. At 16 mm, the lens framed all formations in the scene and delivered edge-to-edge sharpness in all my shots. For tighter compositions, the FE 24-70mm F2.8 G Master lens was invaluable in capturing intricate details in the background, such as the crash of the ocean waves. The high resolution of images taken with both lenses did justice to the coastal view by taking in its details from one end of the scene to the other.
