As a student, Billy Dai loved to watch sports competitions. He was first exposed to photography at an astronomy stargazing event. As luck would have it, he ended up combining his two hobbies to become a sports photographer. He developed a talent for capturing the figures of athletes as they weaved in and out of light and shadows. Billy's main subjects for his photography are college sports and baseball athletes at all levels. Since 2007, he has been the national team photographer at the Universiade 5 times. He doesn't just try to capture the movements of athletes during the match but wants to use his images to demonstrate the athletes' spirits and show the different forms that beauty can take.
